Having Fun Staying at Home – Bye Corona!

Hello readers, it’s me again!

It is June of 2020 and I am now writing my first post on my blog. It’s been a year already and I know I keep saying this in my every post that I miss writing so bad! So today, why not start it all again? ;)

How are you doing in 2020? I do hope that you are okay and be healthy mentally and physically because healthiness is all that matters now. 2020 is such a surprising year, isn’t it? I remember what I wished for in new year’s eve last December and how I expected a big change in this year but 2020 turns out to be a year when we all need to stop and break, I supposed.

I have been staying at home for working and not going anywhere since April. It has been two months now and gotta tell you that it’s so boring! I’m living by myself in a kost, so I don’t have anyone really to talk every day. I spend my money in internet mostly because it’s the only source of entertainment I have. How I miss going out, without mask and hand sanitizer of course. Despite of how bored I am, there are many people out there who still need to work at the office and even many of them lost their job so I’m feeling so grateful with my condition now.

When boredom attacks, it feels like there is nothing to do, literally. I could lying on my bed and scrolling Instagram for hours. I feel my mind is so full of social media stuffs which in fact has given me bigger insecurities. There are too much problems shared on my twitter page, too much viral news, and also too many online shop to visit hahaha. I know how bad social media has affected my mind so I try so hard to limit my social media activity and try to do other things instead. Please let me share the activities for my me-time which you could also try in your house.

• .       Watching More Inspirational Youtube Channel

There are so many videos in Youtube you can watch, but have you ever think to search inspirational talks or motivational videos?  I have been watching Lana Blakely youtube channel and now I have practiced for minimalism life because of her videos. Whenever I feel the need to exercise, Chloe Ting certainly has lists of videos on how to build up my body. I also starts to check and listen to Ted talks videos. They usually create videos with duration only 10 – 15 minutes about science or history with nice animation and it might give you new ideas and also becomes a new source of knowledge. I know that living in our houses might have limited our interactions with friends and colleagues and we may feel be less motivated, I obviously have been in that feeling too. Nonetheless, being inspired and motivated actually can come from your own thoughts and using smartphone or whatever gadget you have to seek for them is a basic we need to keep in mind.  

• .       Try Dart!

Well this is actually the activity I always wanted to try since I was in college. So, I bought a dart set online and now it has been a month for practicing it. It is a lot of fun! I suppose that this idea of buying dartboard might not interest you at all. Well, what I’m trying to say is that you may keep some games in your house that might light up your mood. It might be lego, rubic, monopoly, and many else. I’m sure that some of you might have thought about THAT Playstation 5, ahahah, but it’s okay though. As long as the game keeps you stay at home, and make you stay away from Covid 19, and you get the fun part of it, then no worries! 

•  Journaling, Doodling, Drawing

I dare you to visit Amazon online now, and start searching for a nice journal book and buy it right away! I can guarantee there will be no regret because a lot of memories will be kept safely and forever be documented started from now on. I think there is a beautiful part of journalling, it is a way to let it out emotion and feeling on a paper and that feeling or emotion suddenly will freeze and stay forever. When you read it again in the future, you will travel again to the past and realizing those feeling and emotion again.  I do hope you know what I mean, haha. Your journal does not need to be pretty with colorful pens or with nice sketch. Try to create your own journal, make it as if you are the only person who could only read it! You may also write down the plans or bucket list of the things you want to do after the pandemic is over. Also, try to add some doodles and drawings. Be creative as possible!

• Listening to Podcast

I’ve been listening to Podcast for a lot of time now, mostly listening to local Indonesian ones. I remember back then when I was a kid, I used to put my headset on and wait for my favorite anchor to start a radio. Listening to Podcast is much likely the same thing, only it is more fun because we could catch up our favorite anchor at any time. It also covers a lot of topics such as comedy, film, politics, economics, or even business and sports. When I feel like I’m not in the mood while working, I can open Spotify and search for BKR Brother, Podkesmas, or Makna Talks and listen to their stories. I was quite sceptical about listening to Podcast at the first time, I thought, “what’s the interesting thing for listening to people chatting to each other?”. But now, I’m addicted to it! You should try too! Oh, I wish we can share our Podcast list :D

• Reading Books, definitely

During pandemic or not, reading books might have been your daily basis, but not for me, haha. I target myself to read one book per month, how sad it is right :p. I know that reading books should be an essential activity as long as we live so I try to read more books now. The last time I remember was I have spent 8 books and I finally found an author that inspires in so many ways, Yuval Noah Harari with his book title, Homo Deus. I’ve never been so eager before to really digging science and searching for knowledge from books. I thought that it was quite late for me to begin reading books but better late than never right? I know that some of you might not like this idea,  but please just try for one book and finish it! It can be a novel, a magazine, a comic, or even the bible! Never judge a book by its cover though, you might be surprised :D

That’s it, my 5 activities that I try to keep during this pandemic. These activities surely have distracted me from my phone and have given me good changes. I know that we have our own hard times during this pandemic, but I would like to suggest you to keep that positivity inside youself alive and please consume as many as inspirational and motivational ideas as you could. Review Samsung Galaxy A6+ – Setelah Pemakaian Satu Bulan!

Halo semuanya! Apa kabar? Long time no see yah. As what the title says, kali ini aku ingin review handphone Samsung Galaxy A6+ yang rame dipromosi di media akhir-akhir ini. First of all, tujuannya dibuat post ini adalah karena aku ingin share pengalaman setelah menggunakan smartphone ini. Untuk sebelumnya, aku ngga pernah beli handphone, I mean the handphones that I used were gifts, so last month I decided to buy one. The previous one was Xiaomi, it was good, up until I thought I need to buy new one since my Xiaomi Redmi 3 was no longer capable to handle the apps that I need regularly. Jadi intinya, aku tau rasanya kebingungan mau beli handphone merk apa dan yang seperti apa dan ingin berbagi aja pengalaman setelah menggunakan Samsung Galaxy A6+, kali aja ada diantara kalian yang ingin tau dan berminat beli kan? Hihi.

So, mulai aja dari bentuk handphonenya dulu. Kalau kalian pernah lihat review unboxing Samsung Galaxy A6+ di Youtube, handphonenya ya sama persis seperti itu bentuknya. Displaynya 6”” (15.24 cm) dengan layar amoled. Jadi kalau layar amoled itu yang aku perhatiin, jika di dalam ruangan layarnya ini ga bakal cerah – cerah banget. For me, karena sudah terbiasa dengan layar yang agak cerah, jadi kadang aku harus set autobrightessnya untuk lebih cerah sedikit lagi dengan standar penglihatan aku. Nonetheless, kalau outdoor, layarnya cerah banget dan karena ini amoled jadi kita ga perlu nutupin layarnya dengan tangan biar kelihatan hahaha. Coba perhatiin dua gambar dibawah, untuk yang sebelah kiri kondisi layar di outdoor, untuk sebelah kanan kondisi layar indoor. 

Handphone ini berbahan metal, tapi kalau dibandingkan Xiaomi Redmi 3 lebih berat handphone Xiaomi Redmi 3 dibanding Samsung, jadi awalnya aku kira ini plastik biasa handphonenya karena metalnya itu ringan banget dengan ukuran handphone selebar itu. By the way, tidak disediakan untuk pelindung handphonenya yah, beda kalau beli Samsung seperti S9 atau S8. Sampai sekarang juga aku masih belum beli kok casing khusus A6+ beserta temper glassnya, katanya sih mungkin setelah 2 bulanan baru ada kali produsen yang jualin casing handphone ini di pasaran. Ohya, keunggulan yang lain adalah handphone ini layar penuh, jadi ngga ada tombol sama sekali, kecuali tombol untuk set volume dan turn off di bagian sisi kiri dan kanan handphone. Dilengkapi dengan finger print juga di bagian belakang handphone dan posisinya cukup nyaman juga buat cek fingerprint kita. Selain fingerprint juga ada face recognition yah. For the color I choose black because it’s so elegant and nice and classy.

Okay kita lanjut ke softwarenya langsung aja. By the way handphone ini memiliki RAM 4GB dan memori internal 32 GB yah. Kalau ada online shop yang jual memori internal 64 GB itu patut dipertanyakan karena Samsung resminya aja emang ngeluarin yang 32 GB doang, sama seperti Samsung Galaxy A6 juga. Looking at the qualifications, I think you don’t need to doubt the performance because it’s pretty quick to open and reopen one and more apps. Handphonenya sudah diinstall dengan Bixby dan OK Google and kece banget. Up until now, Bixby belum terlalu berguna sih di aku, tapi aku pernah coba dan memang itu ngebantu banget buat translate bahasa asing dan juga search for similar things yang kita belum pernah lihat sebelumnya. Buat OK Google, aku pernah coba untuk search menggunakan pemindai suara dengan kualitas suara berbeda-beda dari suara bisik-bisik dengan volume kecil sampai aku gunain juga di supermarket yang rame dan tetap bisa berfungsi dengan baik dan listen to my voice clearly. Buat gamers, this smartphone is pretty cool with its Game Launcher. It will keep your phone in a good performance while you’re playing it for hours. Game besar seperti PUBG dan The Sims juga ga bakal terlalu ngebuang battery handphone karena Game launcher ini somehow bisa menghemat penggunaan batterynya. Ada juga Samsung Max, dimana apps ini bisa kontrol pemakaian data internet.

                                                                                                      

Next ke bagian batterynya dengan kapasitas 3500mAh. Kemarin sempat aku jalan-jalan ke museum dan paket internet aku nyalain seharian, handphonenya juga nonstop untuk foto-foto, recording, balas chat, buka Instagram, dan baterainya awet dari jam 09.00 pagi sampai jam 09.00 malem. Yah lumayan sih hemat baterai juga ternyata untuk smartphone ini. Tapi kalau dibuat untuk main game dan nonton Youtube seharian mungkin ga terlalu lama ya awetnya. 

Untuk entertainment lain, kalau kalian suka dengerin musik, you can use the headset to gain more clear sound. Karena speakernya tidak terlalu kenceng dan bass, lebih bagus speaker Xiaomi Redmi 3. Anyyway, handphone ini asik juga buat nonton video dan record video. Karena handphone ini bisa membuat suara yang di record itu jernih dan gambarnya juga bagus, stay steady walaupun tangan kalian shaking megang handphonenya. Kalau mau nonton film dengan HOOQ bisa pakai headset dan set Dolby Atmos untuk suaranya, and enjoy the infinity display!

Last but not least, the camera is cool! Untuk selfie kamera ini bener-bener okay dan bisa nangkap jerawat dan bintik-bintik hitam di muka. Dan juga warna dari kameranya ga terlalu pink atau terlalu orange, jadi benar-benar menangkap gambar sesuai realnya. Kalau mau dibandingin kamera depannya mungkin bisa dibandingkan dengan kamera pocket Canon atau Fujifilm yah, karena emang sebagus itu. Untuk kamera belakangnya juga okay, dilengkapi juga efek bokeh untuk Samsung Galaxy A6+ ini, tapi ofcourse ga secanggih Iphone (see the last picture below). Ada kelemahan yang ga aku suka dari kamera handphone ini yaitu susah banget untuk menangkap gambar dalam keadaan lowlight. Somehow kayanya kalau di dalem ruangan yang kurang pencahayaan kamera ini akan bekerja keras untuk mencerahkan ruangan sekitar dan gambarnya turns out to be ugly, jadi pecah-pecah gitu (third pict below). Dan make sure kalau foto dengan kamera belakang tangannya jangan goyang, karena kamera ini gampang banget shoot dengan hasil blur. Atau mungkin aku aja kali ya yang kurang bisa gunain kamera Samsung. Tapi emang bener, kalau dibanding dengan kamera Xiaomi, kamera Samsung lebih lambat dalam menangkap gambar dan jadi gampang blur gitu.

Ini hasilnya foto dan bikin video pakai Samsung Galaxy A6+. Lumayan keren kan? Wkwk

So I guess that’s all for the review. Sorry kalau banyaknya negbandingin dengan Xiaomi Redmi 3 karena aku cuma review handphone yang pernah aku pakai aja hehe. Overall, handphone ini memuaskan banget dimulai dari performancenya hingga harganya juga haha. Ohya aku belinya di Bukalapak yah, jadi harganya bisa lebih murah dibanding beli di toko resminya, selisih 200rbuan sih, wkwk. Buat kamu yang ingin beli handphone baru dengan budget 5jutaan, kamu bisa pertimbangin untuk beli handphone yang satu ini, because it’s worth the hype! See you!

Hello guys, how are you doin? Good, I hope!

So, I admit that this blog is such a random blog, obviously. I talk and share about anything, that I can't even categorize what kind of blog this is. But that's me. I write on this blog, not to make people to see me, but it's more to do what I like that I like sharing so much. This blog is dedicated for me myself, so I don't expect everyone in this big mass gigantic world to notice me. However, if you do like to read my post, please keep reading because I promise you that I won't stop writing. It just... being busy and, you know, I write when something just comes up in my mind, so it takes time to open this blog again and start writing.

Like I said before, this is such a random blog. Don't relate this post with the previous post because it has nothing to do with them at all. This time I'd like to share something that impresses me, a figure that I amaze since I was in high school, about 5 years ago. She is a beautiful lady who likes fashion and stuff. If you ever read my post about 7 Fashion Bloggers that I like the most you may recognize this one. She is Andy Torres. 

The first time I open her blog, I was amazed by her style of dressing. Plus she has a unique-and-pretty-angelic-face and it just makes me keep admiring her more and more. Most of the contents of her blog are her pictures of daily outfit and her experience of travelling the world. Oh my god, I am so envious with this lady, I mean, she's just so lucky that she can keep doing what she likes and getting so many benefits from it. 

Her style of fashion is simple yet special. She knows so well how to mix dress with the accessories, shoes, and bags. The style is just simple but catchy and that's what I favorite the most. She knows how to put make up on and how to express herself. Her style is never boring! She always improves herself in fashion.

But the most important thing is that she always updating her blog with all her activities and so on. I don't know why, but I always feel inspired and motivated every time I read her posts. Whenever I visit her blog, I know that my time is well spent. Anyway, she's good at sport too!

Other thing that is impressive from Andy Torres is she's also a speaker of TED. You know it well, right? After watching her video in Youtube, I know that she's just incredible. She's pretty, hardworker, and smart. She built all her success that she gets for now from zero. Her story of how he can survive in Amsterdam makes me admire her more.

5 Youtubers Should Be Checked Out

Aloha! I remember that I ever discussed about 7 bloggers should be checked out in my blog, yes they are all incredible and I still check out their blogs sometimes, but this time I'd like to post some of my favorite Youtubers.

I spend my time everyday at home so I admit that boredom always comes to me. I've done watching Game of Thrones up till Season 4 and Family Guy Season 13 (which makes me sad) and I have nothing to do after that. So I tried to check Youtube sometimes and watched some channels that were interesting for me and now those channels must be the first channel I watch whenever I open up Youtube.

It's a common thing even a popular thing to do among women to check out some beauty channels in Youtube. You may popular of Kiara Leswara and Sarah Ayu, two Indonesian females I'd love to check in Youtube. They both have a good taste in cosmetics and good camera setting. In my opinion, if you like to check a Youtube channel about beauty product, you get to check a popular beauty channel in your country. This is because most popular beauty Youtubers try to adjust the product and style which is known in their country. In the other side, you may not have difficulty in language if you try to check the Youtubers who use the same language as yours. Try to check their channels for make up and beauty tutorial here.

What I adore from these girls is they always tell their opinion and experience of using beauty products which is very needed. If you are looking for the best products that suit and fix in your skin, you need to search for the review and I think checking Youtube for some product review is recommended.

Next I have international Youtubers who is lovely and pretty, Jenn Im. I am not sure what nationality she has, I think she's Korean, but she currently lives in LA. She is such a lovely person and most of her videos are vlog ones. Have you heard about vlog? Well, vlog is a blend word for video and blog which you can guess it's a video about daily life.

 I think she is a talented person and creative ones. I can waste all day just to watch all of her videos because all of them are interesting. She is also down to earth kind of person and it just adds more positive sides of her. She also shares her relationship in some of her videos and I think her relationship with Ben is adorable. Type clothesencounters in Youtube and get to know her further.

The next is an American Youtuber, the lovely and pretty Rachel.Well, the first time I checked her channel I felt as if I was so lame to find out her channel just for these lately days. I mean, she has uploaded hundred of amazing videos and reached 6 million subscribers and I just known her TODAY haha (Yap I should check out Youtube more often to get to know world better).

 

She is also talented person and all of her videos have unique themes. Almost all of the themes are creative that she tries to always make a new inspiring story. When I watch her videos, I just like "omg it's true". She is talk-active kind of girl that sometimes I try to replay what she's saying because she talks so fast. She shares her relationship too with a guy called Isaac. Different with Jenn's relationship, I think Rachel's kind of relationship looks like mine which is the fun one. They love to laugh at each other, play games, and give each other pranks. Such a cute couple! Check out her channel at rclbeauty101.

The last channel is from Michelle Phan. Perhaps you've watched the famous Lady Gaga Bad Romance Look in Youtube by her. She's gifted by her make up talent. She has many make up tutorial videos and some vlogs. If you search for a weird and anti-mainstream make up look, you may check her channel now. 

From my point of view, she is a humble woman and lovely. I am pretty impressed with her talent in producing video, like the video above, which all the ideas are from her head. She also likes to draw and her drawings are pretty amazing. Her LDR story also amazes me. She shares her story with her boyfriend that they came from different part of the world but they could proof that they are meant to be together. I feel inspired somehow after watching her video with her boyfriend, I wish mine would be better than that :p

Ujian Nasional (lagi)?

Hai hai haaaai :D

Gue tadi abis nyimak Kompas TV yg ngupas tentang UJIAN NASIONAL. Denger dua kosa kata tersebut mungkin bikin beberapa siswa ataupun pelajar dari SD sampe SMA di Indonesia jadi merinding ya. Tapi tenang aja kok, gue bakal buat post tentang ujian nasional ini jadi gak terlalu menakutkan deh.

Beberapa hari kedepan, Kementrian Pendidikan Indonesia melakukan konvensi yang intinya akan membahas tentang penyelenggaraan UN tahun depan yang masih fifty-fifty. Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, M.Nuh, mengundang beberapa lapisan masyarakat untuk turut mengambil andil dalam konvensi ini. Beberapa pejuang pendidikan seperti dosen, guru, dan kepala sekolah, diundang untuk hadir dalam acara tersebut.

Tapi kok gue gak liat ada pelajar yang diundang ya? Emang aspirasi pelajar gak dibutuhkan ya? Yang mau UN siapa coba?

Pemerintah apalagi Kementrian Pendidikan, mendukung banget penyelenggaraan UN ini. Kalo dipikir-pikir, alasan mereka menyelenggarakan UN itu emang tepat. Yang pertama, untuk mengukur tingkat pendidikan di Indonesia, udah meningkat atau belum. Yang kedua, untuk membangkitkan semangat para pelajar dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Yang ketiga untuk menguji para pelajar itu sendiri, sejauh apa kemampuan belajar mereka.

Kalau untuk ketiga alasan tersebut, sebenernya gue setuju diadakannya Ujian Nasional. Tapi untuk penyelenggaraannya? Hum, masih diragukan.

Untuk Ujian Nasional tahun 2013 ini misalnya. Pemerintah semangat banget ngadain Ujian Nasional dengan tema baru: ’20 paket’. Sialnya, tahun 2013 itu tahunnya gue mesti ikut Ujian Nasional. Ya kalo bayangin 20 paket, ngeri banget deh beneran. Gue jadi parno, takut, gak percaya diri juga. Bahkan guru-guru sekolah gue pun jadi sukar untuk membangkitkan semangat anak-anak muridnya. Udah pada pasrah semua sih, hahaha.

Belum lagi penyelenggaraannya yang merugikan banyak pihak. Perbedaan waktu penyelenggaraan yang ditunda sampai beberapa hari untuk wilayah timur Indonesia, kualitas lembar jawaban (LJK) yang buruk, telatnya kedatangan soal ujian, dan yang paling parah tingkat kesukaran ujian itu sendiri yang dinaikkan beberapa persen. Dan yang terakhir gue denger juga, adanya korupsi dibalik penyelenggaraan ujian nasional yang mengecewakan ini.

Jadi kalau dipikir ulang, Ujian Nasional itu gak salah sama sekali. Tapi pemerintah yang php. Udah sok-sokan ngadain ujian nasional 20 paket, yang katanya udah mantap banget persiapannya, tapi ujung-ujungnya?

Ini yang buat banyak masyarakat kontra terhadap ujian nasional. Dan pemikiran pemerintah yang ingin memajukan pendidikan Indonesia dengan ujian nasional itu banyak dibantah oleh banyak pihak, khususnya pelajar. Kalau ingin memajukan pendidikan di Indonesia, tingkatin lagi dong mutu dan kualitas dalam belajar mengajar, bukan Cuma pas ujian aja. Karena kita tahu sendiri kan, Indonesia terdiri dari bebagai macam daerah dengan cara pembelajaran yang berbeda beda. Kita gak bisa samain kualitas pembelajaran di kota dan di desa. Dan ini yang seharusnya pemerintah pikirkan ulang. Kalau kualitas pembelajaran di kota dan didesa aja gak sama, gimana mau ngadain ujian secara nasional?

Pemerintah tuh gak mikir apa, yang mereka rugikan itu bibit-bibit negara yang akan memajukan nama bangsa di masa depan. Kalau dari bibit-bibit aja udah dikecewain, mana bisa tumbuh dengan baik dan benar coba? *ini ngomongin tanaman atau apasih?* *Intinya gitu deh. Mohon dipahami sendiri, haha*

Kita ngomong antara sesama pelajar aja lah ya, karena gue juga udah ngalamin detik detik sebelum UN. Gak bisa dipungkiri, kita dibelenggu sama pemerintahan yang suka phpin banyak pihak dan terkesan gak profesional. Tapi ya, anggap aja ini challenge untuk diri lo sendiri, lo bisa ngelewatinnya atau engga. Mulai dari sekarang, buat adek-adek yang lagi duduk di bangku kelas tiga atau kelas enam sd, siapin tuh senjata untuk memerangi ketakutan kalian terhadap ujian nasional.

Gue kan udah pernah ngalamin tuh rasanya gimana mau ngadapin UN, jadi gue mau kasih beberapa tips yang (syukurnya) manjur buat diri gue sendiri.

Dari sekarang, pahami bener-bener apa yang lo pelajari. Dari yang mudah sampai yang susah. Kalau bisa, perbanyak tanya jawab sama guru di sekolah tentang materi yang gak dimengerti. Selain nambah nilai dan guru juga jadi tau nama lo, lo juga dapet banyak manfaat dalam memperdalam materi itu sendiri.

Kedua, kalau ngerasa pembelajaran di sekolah dan saat trobosan di sekolah masih belum cukup, tambah dengan mengikuti bimbingan belajar di luar sekolah. Nah, kalo di bimbel gitu kan gurunya kebanyakan masih muda, jadi lebih semangat gitu belajarnya, wkwk.

Ketiga, kalau lo emang gak ngerti sama sekali dengan materi yang susah banget dan males untuk ngerjainnya, ya udah tinggalin aja. Tapi make sure that lo ngerti banget materi yang mudah-mudah. Tapi jangan terlalu banyak juga materi yang susahnya ya.

Keempat, usaha itu harus lebih besar dari kemalasan. Gue ngerti banget deh yang namanya males belajar itu gimana, haha. Tapi ya lo mesti inget, hasil yang bakal lo dapet entar untuk ngebanggain orang tua lo. Jadi, buatlah orang tua lo bangga sebangga-bangganya sama lo.

Kelima, tiap belajar itu berdoa dulu, biar dikasih kemudahan sama Tuhan yang Maha Esa agar lo lebih percaya diri dalam menjawab soal, bahkan soal tersulit sekalipun.

Keenam, banyak-banyakin belajar kelompok. Belajar kelompok ya, bukan ngobrol kelompok, haha. Belajar kelompok itu sangat berguna banget. Apalagi kalau belajar kelompoknya terdiri sama anak-anak yang beda sekolah. Beda-beda juga ilmu dan pemahaman yang didapat. Jadi bisa saling melengkapi deh.

Nah, sekian post gue kali ini tentang Ujian Nasional. Saran gue, jangan terlalu over think atau negative thinking sama ujian nasional. Percaya sama diri lo sendiri aja, lo pasti bisa ngelewatinnya. Dan lo bakal ngerasain kepuasan sendiri setelah berhasil ngelewatinnya dengan baik dan benar. Sayonara di post selanjutnya J

Otobiografi Soeharto

Untuk mengisi liburan panjang, gue mencoba untuk mengerjakan hal-hal yang berguna. Selain bantu-bantu mama di dapur *akhirnya bisa masak! yes!* dan bersih-bersih rumah, gue nyempetin untuk baca buku tebel. Maklum lah, gue calon anak sastra, jadi harus rajin-rajin baca buku. Ya walaupun faktanya gue paling males baca buku, hahaha. 

So, kemarin gue gak sengaja lihat buku Otobigrafi Soeharto di lemari buku bokap. Bekal penasaran sama siapa sih Soeharto sebenernya, gue akhirnya baca deh otobiografinya. Dan hasilnya, gue banyak dapet informasi yang sebelumnya gak pernah gue duga. Dan banyak juga wejangan-wejangan berupa nasihat dan pedoman hidup ala masyarakat Jawa dari beliau. 

Menurut cerita nyokap dan beberapa guru sewaktu gue SD dan SMP, Soeharto dikenal kejam dan diktator. Gak ada yang berani untuk menentang beliau. Bahkan banyak sastrawan yang ditangkap jika nulis macem-macem mengenai beliau. Gue nggak tau sih itu fakta bener apa kagak karena gue juga belum hidup di jaman segitu. 

Tapi setelah gue baca otobigrafinya, gue baru tau semuanya.

Beberapa fakta sejarah yang mungkin lo pada gak tau juga dijelaskan di buku ini. Nah, gue bakal jelasin nih beberapa fakta-fakta sejarah tersebut yang buat gue kaget juga.

Inget gak waktu Agresi Belanda 1? Itu adalah tragedi dimana Belanda menyerang Indonesia kembali yang sudah merdeka. Faktanya, reaksi dunia internasional amat besar disini. Pemerintah Syria memprotes keras tindakan kejam Belanda tersebut. India dan Autralia juga mengajukan permintaan kepada Dewas Keamanan PBB agar menyelesaikan masalah itu. Bahkan India, Pakistan, Muangthai melarang perusahaan penerbangan Belanda mendaratkan pesawat-pesawat mereka di negara-negara tersebut. Banyak pula mahasiswa-mahasiswa dan buruh pelabuhan Australia berdemonstrasi di depan gedung Kedutaan Besar Belanda. See? Ternyata bukan cuma kita aja yang berjuang demi kemerdekaan Indonesia, tapi negara-negara lain juga berjuang menyelamatkan kita :)

Inget gak peristiwa G-30S PKI? Peristiwa yang nggak manusiawi itu menelan tujuh jenazah jenderal-jenderal besar. Dan lo tau gak kenapa jenderal-jenderal itu yang dibunuh? Jenderal-jenderal itu dibunuh karena mereka difitnah oleh para penghianat. Setelah membaca dengan seksama, sewaktu terjadinya peristiwa memilukan tersebut, Pak Soeharto yang memimpin Angkatan Darat tahu benar untuk jangan percaya begitu saja dengan orang, bahkan dengan teman dekat sendiri. Terjadi perbedaan pendapat pula antara Presiden Soekarno dan Soeharto, dimana Presiden Soekarno malah menganggap enteng peristiwa G-30S PKI itu. menurutnya, peristiwa itu hal yang biasa, een rimpeltje in de ocean (sebuah riak kecil di samudera)

Dan parahnya, sebelum Soeharto mengumumkan di radio bahwa dirinyalah yang memimpin keamanan Indonesia saat itu, beberapa penghianat telah datang ke tempat Presiden Soekarno dan membujuk Presiden Soekarno agar tidak mempercayai Soeharto. Tapi akhirnya, Presiden Soekarno tetap menyerahkan kendali keamanan kepada Soeharto dan menyuruh Soeharto untuk menuntaskan semuanya. Kebayang gak kalau saat itu Soekarno percaya pada para Penghianat itu? Bisa lebih gawat lagi keadaannya.

Perselisihan dan perbedaan pendapat Soeharto dan Presiden Soekarno bukan hanya disitu saja. Banyak terjadi pemberontakan yang dilakukan para mahasiswa di sejumlah daerah setelah peristiwa G-30S PKI berlalu. Para mahasiswa itu menuntut Presiden Soekarno untuk membubarkan PKI secepatnya. Disini mahasiswa banyak mendukung gerakan-gerakan Soeharto yang mendengarkan opini mahasiswa dan mengadakan kerjasama dengan para mahasiswa tersebut. Inilah yang mendukung terjadinya dualisme kepemimpinan pada saat itu.

Tapi Presiden menolak untuk menuruti kemauan mahasiswa. Presiden Soekarno merasa para mahasiswa tersebut sudah keterlaluan. Bahkan para mahasiswa juga membawa-bawa masalah pribadi Soekarno dalam berdemonstrasi, seperti menulis, "Stop impor istri" di spanduk mereka.

Kekacauan ini dikarenakan Presiden Soekarno yang menganut paham NASAKOM (Nasionalis, Agama, Komunis). Paham yang dipopulerkan Presiden Soekarno ini sudah terkenal di pelbagai penjuru dunia. Paham tersebut memang bertujuan untuk menyatukan Indonesia dan menentang imperialisme dan kolonialisme. Namun kenyataannya, paham tersebut berbanding terbalik dengan Pancasila. Bahkan banyak pihak yang berpikir bahwa ada kemungkinan Presiden Soekarno terlibat dalam G-30S PKI.

Membubarkan PKI menurut Soekarno, hanya akan mencoreng nama baiknya dari dunia internasional. Ya ngerti sih, PKI adalah gerakan komunis, dan Presiden Soekarno juga mendukung komunisme. Jika beliau menghapus PKI, itu seperti menjilat ludah sendiri, begitu.

Dilain pihak, Soeharto tetap berpendirian pada Pancasila. Beberapa kali Soeharto mencoba berunding dan membujuk Presiden Soekarno untuk menuruti keinginan mahasiswa agar tidak terjadi pergolakan yang berkepanjangan. Atas bantuan dari beberapa pihak, akhirnya Presiden Soekarno menyetujui gerakan Soeharto untuk memberantas PKI dengan mengeluarkan SUPERSEMAR.

Supersemar sendiri pun sebenarnya berisi tentang pemindahan kekuasaan keamanan yang awalnya dipegang oleh Presiden Soekarno yang kemudian diserahkan kepada Soeharto. Surat tersebut berisi agar Soeharto mengambil segala tindakan yang diperlukan untuk mengamankan kestabilan pemerintahan serta menjamin keselamatan pribadi Presiden demi keutuhan bangsa.

Presiden Soekarno dikira hanya memikirkan dunia politik saja. Bapak revolusi itu memang sangat berambisi untuk menjadi tokoh dunia. Disisi lain, Soeharto dan para pejabat lainnya pusing memikirkan perekonomian yang saat itu sedang rusak-rusaknya.

Dari alasan-alasan itulah para menteri dan pejabat, bahkan MPR, membujuk Soeharto untuk menggantikan Presiden Soekarno. Dan lahirlah Orde baru yang dipimpim Presiden Soeharto.

Gue rasa cukup untuk bahas sejarahnya.Kini kita intip kehidupan pribadi Soeharto.

Banyak yang salah kaprah atas silsilah keluarga Soeharto. Awalnya, banyak yang beranggapan Soeharto lahir dan dibesarkan di keluarga ningrat. Padahal, Soeharto lahir dari keluarga yang sangat sederhana. Faktanya, Soeharto adalah korban dari perceraian orangtuanya. Ayahnya beberapa kali menikah sehingga Soeharto dibesarkan bersama kakak adik tirinya yang lain.

Soeharto dididik dengan kehidupan yang apa adanya. Beliau banyak menghabiskan waktunya di sawah dan membantu pamannya yang bekerja sebagai petani. Pantas saja, hingga Soeharto menjabat presidenpun, beliau tetap memuliakan para petani.

Sewaktu kecil, Soeharto sering diejek teman-temannya dengan sebutan "den bagus tahi mabul (tahi kering)".

Semasa sekolah dulu, Soeharto sering sekali berpindah-pindah sekolah. Ia sering dititipkan oleh bibi dan pamannya. Menurut ayah Soeharto, Pak Kertosudiro, jika Soeharto terus tinggal di desa, ia tidak akan menjadi orang. Hal ini memang benar adanya. Setelah dipindahkan di Wuryantoro, Soeharto mendapat pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Bakal panjang sih kalau gue ceritain masa kecilnya Pak Soeharto. Tapi cerita-cerita beliau di buku ini sangat-sangat interesting. Bikin gue ketagihan bacanya. Gue aja nggak nyangka, orang kaya gue (yang paling males bahas sejarah) bisa larut dalam halaman demi halaman buku ini. Apalagi saat membahas bagaimana Soeharto mendapat jodoh. Mau tau gimana?

Beda sama Pak Habibi yang memutuskan jodohnya sendiri, Pak Soeharto malah dijodohin. Saat itu beliau berumur 26 tahun. Keluargalah yang mendesak Soeharto untuk cepat-cepat menikah. Awalnya Pak Soeharto tidak terlalu tertarik untuk menikah, apalagi masih banyak urusan kemiliteran yang harus ia kerjakan.

"Alhasil, perkawinan kami tidak didahului dengan cinta-cintaan seperti yang dialami oleh anak muda di tahun delapan puluhan sekarang ini. Kami berpegangan pada pepatah, "witting tresna jalaran saka kulina". Datangnya cinta karena bergaul dari dekat."

Walaupun dijodohin, tapi akhirnya pernikahan Soeharto dengan Siti Hartinah langgeng sepanjang masa. Keren ya :D

Ada yang pernah dengar gak tentang pembunuh bayaran? Sooeharto tidak mengiyakan, namun yang terjadi di masa pemerintahannya ia lakukan untuk menjaga kestabilan nasional, agar tidak muncul PKI-PKI berikutnya. Gue juga ngerti, kenapa banyak sastrawan yang ditangkap jaman itu. itu semata-mata sebagai tindakan atas segala jenis aksi yang tidak sejalur dengan Pancasila yang memungkinkan munculnya penghianatan dan masalah yang mengancam  keamanan negara.

Pembangunan TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah) juga didukung dari ide Soeharto dan istrinya. Mereka ingin membangun tempat rekreasi yang bisa dijadikan sebagai tempat hiburan dan pendidikan. Walaupun banyak yang beranggapan pembangunan TMII hanya sebagai manipulasi politik, tapi toh akhirnya itu semua gak benar. Malah pembangunan TMII menambah devisit negara.

Banyaaaaak banget yang gue dapat abis baca Otobigrafinya beliau. Dan terlalu banyak juga yang mesti gue bocorin tentang nih buku. Mulai dari bagaimana sistem kemiliteran Indonesia, politik, budaya masyarakat Jawa, nasihat, dan cerita-cerita hidup beliau yang sangat sederhana. Bagi yang penasaran, silahkan baca sendiri ya. Gue jamin seru deh. Apalagi ditambah foto-foto semasa hidup Soeharto. (Sebenarnya gue gak baca habis nih buku, karena hampir semuanya tentang politik. Dan.. gue benci politik. Haha.)

Walaupun mungkin banyak yang gak suka dengan Soeharto, tapi kita harus tetap menghargai dan mengakui kehebatan beliau dalam memimpin Indonesia ini. Tercapainya swasembada beras, pembangunan yang sangat cepat, pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cukup memuaskan, bahkan pernah didaulatnya Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara teraman di dunia. Dan kita harus berterimakasih kepada beliau atas jasa-jasanya yang telah mengharumkan nama bangsa :)

Sekian deh artikel tentang Mantan Presiden Indonesia 2, Pak Soeharto. Nasihat yang paling ngena selama baca nih buku adalah, mikul dhuwur mendhem jero. Seperti halnya Soeharto, kita juga wajib nih untuk menjunjung tinggi orang tua kita. Sebaliknya, apabila kita tahu ada kesalahan- kesalahan yang diperbuat oleh mereka, hendaknya kita tidak perlu mengungkit-ungkit. "Adalah kewajiban kita jua untuk berusaha menebus segala kekurangan dan kesalahan mereka itu, dan menjaga jangan sampai kita sendiri membuat kesalahan yang sama". By the way, Selamat hari lahirnya Pancasila :))

Breast Cancer by Angelina Jolie

firstly, i would love to congratulate my lovely Cyrus cause this day we have been already 5 years to stay close to each other. Separated by distance make us can not be together today. but where ever you are, i miss you so much, guys (big hug)

But this post will not tell you about Cyrus. It's all about : Breast cancer.

One of the most terrifying disease, especially for all woman in worldwide. As you know that breast cancer and ovarian cancer are two factors that mostly kill woman in the world. "For about 458,000 people each year, according to the World Health Organization, mainly in low- and middle-income countries."

Today, The New York Times just published an article from Angelina Jolie about her medical treatment to get over her breast cancer. I shocked for the first time, of course. My Angelina Jolie got a breast cancer? no way. but she had.

She told us that she want to get her cancer go away because one reason: she love her family too much and never want to lose her children. So she finally took a preventive double mastectomy. Well, i don't understand very well what kind and steps of that treatment but the point is, that treatment not to cure the breast cancer. It just a medical choice to minimize the risk of get breast cancer.

Angelina Jolie's mother died in her 56 because of breast cancer. Consequently, Angelina Jolie has a BRCA1 gene. Well, of course she can't deny that she is probably get killed by breast cancer someday, just like her mommy.

"But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer."she said.

After read it, I realize that we as women have that risk to get breast cancer and ovarian cancer. We can't underestimate it easily anymore. It has killed many people around the world, and may kill us someday. So what can we do to be spared of it?

Early prevention by get gene tested, may be your first step to find out if you have the breast cancer's gene or not. You can also figure it out by asking your mother if there is any of your family members ail breast cancer. In every morning before I take a bath, I check my breast if there's any bump in it and I suggest you do the same. If you have, next step is check it out to the doctor. Consult to him/her what can you do and what treatment you may have for the next step.

I watched a program on television talking about breast cancer this lately, and I know that having breast cancer is just like nightmares. It's not easy to get heal from it. So please, to who ever you are, I warn you to be more careful and more care about your safety and your health. If you read the Angelina Jolie's article, maybe you would do the same, for also the same reason. And for you who had  get breast cancer, please, fight. Cause you better than that, you are loved by your family. Thank you, Ange :)

Exploring Penyengat Island

yeay! finally I could upload my team's video trailer about our journey to Penyengat Island! actually this video is finished for two months ago. We dedicated this video for Mr.Pohan cause he asked to do a presentation about Penyengat for our team, so we made a video. Fyi, the real video is more fun than the trailer. We biked, we served food, went to Balai Adat and the Graveyard of Raja Haji Fisabilillah, etc. We made this video in a day and need for weeks to edit it. Oh, how I miss the view of Penyengat Island. 10 Adorable Song with Cute Voice of the Singer

First of all, I wanna say that I'm crazy missing to writing in this blog! this holiday creates so many spare time to me and I don't have idea of what to do with most of it. I just sitting in my bed, sign in to my blog and wondering if there's any inspiration thing and my writing-mood come along, so i can type thousand words like I wanted to. 

after searching for a new good song, I finally for the first time listened to Sabrina's song. It's so surprising, cause I like it from the first word that she is sang. In the last, I got idea to write about 10 of my favorite singer which has cute voices and beautiful song that maybe can be in your top list in your lullaby mp3 folder. Here I also contain the videos of them so you can listen to their songs. Here we start...

1.   SABRINA

Surely most of you have known about this pretty girl. She's a Philippines, and was born on 30th December 1989. She has four albums with the same tittle : I love Acoustic. On these albums, she covers song from some famous singers in the world, such as Take a Bow from Rihanna, I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 and many others. Her voice and guitar sound in her songs are so harmonize and perfect to be your lullaby.

2.   YUNA

Yuna is a Malaysian and a beautiful hijaber. She love acoustic too, and ever fly to America to sing there. My favorite song of hers is Deeper Conversation. Her voice is so smooth and quieten. If you check out her song, you will go deep in to a love feeling which maybe suit to your experience of love.

3.   MEAGHAN SMITH

She is a wonderful Canadian and a guitarist. Have you ever watched 500 Days of Summer? If you have, Here Comes Your Man surely not so strange for you. the song is actually The Pixie's, but Meaghan Smith make this song is more funny and cute with the sound of tinkle and slow drum. I deeply fall in love the opening part of it's. :p

4.   ZEE AVI

I never thought that she is an Asian women, but she is. She is a Malaysian, a songwriter, and she study fashion design in one of University in London. By uploading her videos on You Tube, she become famous and captivated the Brushfire Records, an American Records. Bitter Heart is her best song and also her fisrt song in US iTunes. Her special characteristic of singing is her ukulele. Just You and Me is the best recommendation for you.

  5. MOCCA

Mocca is a vocal group from Indonesia. The member are: Riko Prayitno (guitarist), Arina Ephipania (singer and play flute), Achmad Pratama (bassist), dan Indra Massad (drumer). Some of their songs are written in English. The touch of swing jazz, twee pop, and 60s atmosphere make me feel like I'm the cafe all the time.

6.   LILLY ALEN

Familiar with that name? Yup. The singer of the song: F*ck You is quite interesting me. Her thew of music is the fusion of disco music and her cute and smooth voice. Some people think some of her song are rude, but in my opinion her song is so describing my self, which is so indifferent and independent.... don't you think? Anyway, her accent is so lovely and describing the characteristic of herself.

7.   COLBIE CALLIAT

She was born in the same month with me, May in 1985. She is American, but was born in California, and won Best Pop Vocal Album of Grammy Award in 2010. she ever duet with Jason Mraz and create a song called Lucky. She also featured with Taylor Swift in Taylor's album, Fearless. Bubbly, I do, and You Got Me are recommended for you. 

8.   TEN 2 FIVE

Ten 2 Five is the other vocal group from Indonesia. They are so familiar with guitar and also create relaxing atmosphere in every song of them. The songs are: You, I will Fly, Aku Ada Rahasia, and many others. Instead, they were asked to interview with a radio station in Japan. Some of their song also became soundtrack of few movies in Indonesia.

9.   INGRID MICHAELSON

She was born on 8th December 1979 in New York. Her genre actually indie pop and indie folk. In her album of Girls and Boys in 2008, she sing a similar song with Zee Avi, with the title is Take Me The Way I am. many of her song already preformed in television, radio, and some of them become soundtrack movie.

10.   LENKA

Lenka is an Australian, and also an actress. Her first debut in September 2004 with the first single, The Show. In the same year, she also wrote a new single called Trouble is a Friend, and in 2011 Heart Skips A beat is her new song.

That's all my new post about 10 Singer which has cute voice and adorable song I suggested to you. These song may become your alternative songs.
